Job Summary
Come join our client, a top rated civil engineering, land surveying and landscape architecture firm located in Robbinsville, NJ. They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting surveys to determine land boundaries, topography, and other features. You will supervise and run survey crew operations and oversee ALTA/ACSM Land Title surveys. This role requires proficiency in using advanced surveying equipment and software, as well as strong analytical skills to interpret data and create accurate schematics. You will work to assure maintenance and adherence to QA/QC procedures and note taking and maintaining office and field project material. The Land Surveyor will work closely with civil engineering teams to support various projects, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. You will review and follow project scope, keeping all project information and electronic files well organized. You will also supervise record search at recorders offices and government entities. Review all legal descriptions, sign and seal all survey plans. In addition, you will write survey proposals for business development.
Professional Land Surveyor Qualifications:
- Professional Land Surveyor Registered in New Jersey. Additional states, especially Pennsylvania, of registration/licensure beneficial
- 5-10 years of land surveying experience in charge of field crews for all aspects of surveying and types of surveys (i.e. ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Plat of Highways, Route Surveys, Green Acres Survey (NJDEP), Hydrographic Surveys, etc.)
- Experience with HyPack, AutoCAD and Civil 3D a plus.
- Drone pilot license nice to have.
- Strong management experience including maintenance and adherence to QA/QC procedures
- Proficiency with Trimble and Leica GPS, Trimble Robotic Total Station (S6), Trimble (TSC3) and TDS Ranger Data Collectors
- Construction layout, ability to read and comprehend Construction Plans
- Strong math skills
- Micro Station and Geopak Experience
- Strong verbal/communication skills and computer skills
- Business development/Marketing of Survey skills
- Proficient with NJ Code lists and survey requirements. PA standards a plus.
- Hydrographic survey experience beneficial
- Boating/marine experience beneficial
- Must have high personal integrity
- Must be organized, motivated, and reliable
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to obtain government security clearance
- Must be able to pass drug and alcohol tests
