Table 87 is a leader in premium, coal-fired frozen pizza production, handmade and baked in Brooklyn, NY. We are seeking a highly experienced Spanish-speaking Bakery Production Supervisor to lead our production team, improve efficiency, and ensure quality, safety, and consistency in our operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with 7 years of experience in bakery manufacturing, frozen food production, or pizza production. Table 87 operates one manufacturing facility in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Table 87 is a family owned and operated company since 2012.

In 2014, we developed a way to offer the perfect, coal oven frozen pizza. Table 87 Frozen pizza goes from freezer to plate in minutes, whenever you want an authentic Brooklyn coal fired pizza pie. Our fully cooked frozen pies have been featured on ABC’s Shark Tank, and can be found in many local and national supermarkets, and online. Doing it right is the trick. At Table 87, we’ve perfected the coal oven pizza, and we figured out a way to share it with the world.

Leading the Table 87 Frozen production team in development and implementation of production standards that will improve the efficiency of operations in the production department through effective service to sales, cost reduction, inventory, safety, GMP’s and quality program procedures. Manage the daily actions of production department. This role is responsible for inspecting procedures and outputs and identifying mistakes or non-conformity issues, devising procedures to inspect and report quality assurance issues and monitoring all operations that affect quality including supervising and guiding inspectors, technicians and other staff. The goal is to assure the high quality of our operations, services and products aiming to the long-term success of our business.


Job Summary:

The Bakery Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily production, managing the team, improving efficiency, reducing costs, ensuring food safety compliance, and optimizing production workflow. This includes developing and implementing production standards, ensuring high-quality products, and meeting transportation and sales deadlines.

Responsibilities: Production Operations & Efficiency

  • Lead and manage Table 87 Frozen Pizza production team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Optimize production workflow, improving efficiency, cost reduction, and waste management.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes.
  • Oversee baked goods production scheduling (daily and weekly).
  • Ensure production meets or exceeds standards for efficiency, pounds per man-hour, net yield, waste, and machine downtime.
  • Maintain strict accountability and ensure production goals are met.
  • Work with sales and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of finished products.
  • Supervise inventory management, ensuring correct ingredient usage, packaging materials, and cost control.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure products meet sales team needs in the correct quantity, quality, and timeframe.
  • Maintain records of production performance, downtime, and necessary improvements.
  • Assist in automating processes to improve efficiency and reduce labor costs.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing production team.
  • Maintain a strong, motivated, and efficient workforce through accountability and teamwork.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Monitor attendance, control overtime, and resolve conflicts within teams when necessary.
  • Ensure clear communication between shifts for seamless operations.
  • Provide ongoing training on food safety, GMPs, HACCP, and operational best practices.
  • Identify leadership potential within the team and develop employees for growth opportunities.

Food Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMPs, SQF, and food safety standards at all times.
  • Oversee and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to inspect and verify production procedures and outputs.
  • Take corrective action on non-conformity issues related to food safety, product quality, and operational inefficiencies.
  • Ensure all Critical Control Points (CCPs) are effectively maintained.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role in bakery manufacturing, frozen food production, or pizza production.
  • Fluent in Spanish (Required).
  • Strong knowledge of dough mixing, baking processes, and food production equipment.
  • Experience with food safety regulations (HACCP, GMPs, OSHA, SQF, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google (Required).
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and manage a large production team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume food production environment.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
