What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Gaming Operations position at Table Mountain Casino Resort?
Purpose of Position:
Responsible for the overall operation and functions of the Table Games, Slot and Bingo Departments. Develop annual department budgets, capital expenditures, and analysis of staffing needs.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Oversee compliance with established standards in budgetary guidelines with appraised cost effectiveness.
• Oversee the establishment of objectives, strategies, plans, policies and programs for the department as they affect workforce planning, employee selections and placement, training, development and utilization.
• Responsible for reviewing and monitoring financial analysis of Table Games.
• Maintain an updated knowledge of industry innovations and technology.
• Strategically work with manufacturers and suppliers to provide state of the art games.
• Responsible for working with slot manufacturers for the purchase of new machines.
• Maintain knowledge of machines that are new, state of the art, and preferred by players.
• Strategically work with Marketing in developing slot promotions and incentives for guest play.
• Safeguard the assets of the Casino.
• Maintain knowledge of gaming compact, Minimum Internal Controls (MICS) and policies and procedures.
• Responsible for adhering to departmental and Casino-wide policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of the Slots and Table Games Departments by working in liaison with Surveillance and Compliance.
• Review statistical reports for accuracy.
• Review maintenance records, exception reports, and investigates unusual activity on a daily basis.
• Responsible for the staffing, training, evaluating, and scheduling of Team Members; with authority to hire, suspend, and terminate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is required, unless otherwise waived by Executive Management.
• Seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience in Table Games and Slot Management required.
• Excellent interpersonal, guest service, leadership, communication, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are required.
