Description:
The Front Office Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the front desk, providing exceptional guest service while supporting the Front Office Manager. This position requires strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to take ownership of issues that arise. The Front Office Supervisor will oversee front desk operations, assist with training and development of front office staff, and serve as a key contact for guest concerns, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction. This position primarily works PM shifts, but open availability and flexibility are crucial, including the ability to work overnight shifts as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily front desk operations, ensuring seamless guest experiences.
- Provide leadership and support to front desk agents, offering guidance and training to maintain a high standard of service.
- Handle guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally, implementing service recovery measures as necessary.
- Monitor employee performance and recommend/initiate corrective actions when needed.
- Assist with the development and implementation of training programs for front desk staff to enhance service levels.
- Review guest feedback and surveys related to the front desk, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective action.
- Stay informed about local events and community happenings to anticipate guest needs and operational adjustments.
- Maintain proper staffing levels by assisting with scheduling and ensuring efficient labor management.
- Assist in implementing front office incentive programs and employee recognition efforts.
- Perform additional duties or projects as assigned by the Front Office Manager.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of hotel/hospitality experience required, preferably in a front desk role.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent guest service.
- Open availability, with the flexibility to work PM shifts as the primary schedule, as well asovernight shifts as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
