Job Summary:
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all HR functions within the organization. The HR Manager will collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives and ensure a positive work culture and employee satisfaction. The HR Manager will lead efforts to shape and maintain the companys culture, ensuring it is aligned with the organization's core values and objectives. This role is key in promoting employee engagement, enhancing organizational performance, and supporting a diverse, inclusive, and positive workplace where employees feel valued and motivated.
The HR Manager is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. This role will be in-office at least 3 days per week.
Areas of Focus and Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Staffing
- Manage the recruitment and selection process to ensure the organization attracts and hires qualified candidates.
- Develop and post job advertisements, screen resumes, conduct interviews, and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Partner with department heads to determine staffing needs and forecast hiring requirements.
Performance Management
- Manage the performance appraisal system to evaluate employee performance.
- Provide guidance and support to managers in setting performance goals and conducting performance reviews.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans when needed.
Culture & Engagement
- Create and manage initiatives that drive employee engagement, morale, and retention.
- Organize and facilitate team-building activities, events, and celebrations that enhance collaboration and boost morale.
- Monitor the company's culture and make adjustments based on employee feedback and organizational changes.
System Management & Reporting
- Oversee the administration of the HR Systems and manage system updates, upgrades, and system integrations with other HR and business systems.
- Implement process changes that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations.
- Develop, maintain, and generate accurate reports and dashboards related to HR metrics.
- Analyze data to identify trends, make recommendations for improvements, and support data-driven decision-making.
Training & Development
- Identify employee training and development needs, creating or sourcing relevant programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Implement leadership development initiatives and succession planning strategies.
- Facilitate workshops, seminars, and training sessions as needed.
Legal Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and employment standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR-related laws and best practices, ensuring the organizations policies and practices align with legal requirements.
- Oversee the documentation of employment records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to data protection standards.
Employee Relations
- Act as a liaison between management and employees to address concerns and resolve workplace issues.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture by promoting employee engagement, conflict resolution, and morale.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, including discipline and performance management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are preferred but not required.
- 5 years of experience in human resources management or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and HR compliance.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in HR software (e.g., HRIS systems, payroll tools) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
