JOB SCOPE
- Work alongside Facilities Supervisor and HVAC/R Technicians to troubleshoot and repair any equipment problems reported into the company’s work order system
- These problems can be HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Restaurant Equipment or Facilities related
- Establish and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with all office and field personnel, vendors and suppliers
- Meet standards set by Tacala for all areas of responsibility
- Work approximately 50 hours a week (40 Regular/10 Overtime)
- Apprentice/journeyman program is expected to be completed within a 12–24-month period
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to learn or already able to perform the following:
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
- Inspect HVAC systems and their components for potential Issues
- Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration, plumbing and electrical systems
- Troubleshoot, repair and install various pieces of restaurant equipment
- Conduct preventative maintenance on key pieces of restaurant equipment
- Routinely operate a variety of tools and equipment to perform HVAC tasks
- Proactively manage the overall facility needs of the business for a designated territory
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Other miscellaneous duties within the facilities department as needed
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- Meet background check and motor vehicle criteria
- Basic maintenance skills with the ability to learn additional skills
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of basic tools and materials used in facility maintenance repairs
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently to maintain internal tasks
- Ability to multi-task and deliver results, meeting deadlines and targets
- Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, lifting and moving up to 50 lbs., reaching, manual dexterity and visual acuity.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
