Training Program Support Specialist

Place of Performance:

Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE), Virginia.

Job Summary:

The Training Program Support Specialist will provide support to the Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC), Weather Operations Division (A3W) by compiling, analyzing, and integrating training requirements to ensure Air Force Weather training programs align with mission needs. The specialist will serve as a key liaison between training managers, ACC Weather unit leaders, and other Major Commands to synchronize training requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the ACC/A3W data analyst for training requirements, using statistical software and tools to identify trends, gaps, and areas for training improvement.
• Enable integration of data-driven insights into strategic planning and decision-making processes.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to review and integrate training recommendations.
• Facilitate communication between the Weather Operations Division, MAJCOM training branches, and ACC Weather unit leaders to maintain updated training requirements.
• Synchronize ACC Weather training requirements with the Training Manager for the Weather Operations Training and Inspections Branch.
• Assist with the integration of emerging mission areas into training programs, ensuring new training needs are met.
• Review and assist with the development of ACC supplements to 15-series publications.
• Support additional operational training and evaluation duties (e.g., contingency, readiness, planning) as required.

Education:

·       Associate’s degree in Meteorological Technology or related field.

Experience:

·       Minimum of 4 years’ military or civilian experience in tactical, operational, or strategic-level weather operations.

Technical Skills:

·       Experience using AI/ML platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Microsoft Office) to automate processes and analyze training data.

·       Strong data analysis skills with the ability to derive insights and make recommendations.

·       Familiarity with Air Force training policies, evaluation metrics, and reporting structures.
