Believe it or not, this company and this position are based in LaMoure, ND (60 miles south of Jamestown and Valley City). This position requires the applicant to locate within 40 miles of LaMoure and work on site, in person. This is a salaried position that provides an excellent living standard right from the beginning and has enormous growth potential.

General Description of the position
This position will cover two roles at the beginning, Office Manager and Accountant/Bookkeeper. As the company grows, these two roles will separate into two positions with the Office Manager position growing into a Department Manager role.
In the Office Manager role, you will be the foundation of the company. You will be the glue that holds the operation together and keeps things running. Don’t worry, the company is still rather small so you will be able to develop and grow along with us.
In the accountant/bookkeeper role, you will be responsible for tracking and recording the company’s financial transactions, processing payroll, budgeting, and other control functions.
Reporting to the CEO, you will have a high degree of autonomy and an expectation to play a key role in developing the tracking and control systems needed to manage growth. This is an ideal role for someone who 1. is analytical, 2. thrives in a high autonomy environment, and 3. has the deep desire and motivation to constantly learn more.
At first you will be a one-person department supported by the CEO, our CPA firm, freelance subject matter experts, and part-time help as needed. As our company grows you could eventually become the head of the Department of Accounting, Finance, and Oversight.

This role requires an individual who can efficiently manage people and multiple projects.
Planning: In a fast-growth company, this position needs to anticipate and plan for things before they become emergencies. A company can’t outgrow its internal systems and processes and this position is responsible for making sure our control systems don’t slow us down.
Analytical Skills: Being able to analyze data and metrics to forecast resource needs before they arrive is essential.
Communication Skills: Assertive and clear communication skills are essential for effectively conveying messages to internal teams, external stakeholders, and the public. This includes written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Adaptability: A young, fast-growth company is a dynamic environment. Being adaptable and open to change is important in this role.
Ability to Learn: No matter how educated or experienced you may be, you will need to be in a constant state of learning new skills and information in this position. If you’ve never been accused of being exceptionally intelligent, this position is not for you.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

· 4-year Business degree with some accounting education or training.
· Full understanding of business accounting principles including some taxation
· Payroll processing understanding and experience
· Good organization, filing, and information management
· Significant current experience using Quickbooks accounting software (web based)
· Knowledge and experience using Google Workspace, HubSpot, and other business computer software and online applications
· Strong analytical skills, with the ability to independently derive insights from data.
· Strong communication skills both verbal and written
· Ability to handle multiple tasks, focus on completing projects, and meeting deliverables on time.
· Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
· Understanding of and experience in a professional business office environment
· Good grasp of IT, the use of hardware and software as it pertains to business, office, and security.
· Ability to: self-motivate, anticipate and prevent problems, be organized, be flexible, work with others.
· Willingness to help in all aspects of the company, especially until positions become more specialized.
