Position Overview
A successful Senior Estimator at Overwatch Mission Critical is a strategic thinker who develops and implements innovative estimating strategies to win projects. They are a collaborative leader, fostering a team-oriented environment while working seamlessly with preconstruction teams. With outstanding presentation and communication skills, they engage with owners, clients, and stakeholders, building and maintaining strong, lasting relationships. This role requires a detail-oriented problem solver who can analyze complex project specifications, assess risks, and develop competitive bid strategies to drive company success.
Key Responsibilities
Preconstruction & Estimating Leadership
- Analyze project specifications and establish bid strategies, risks, and competitive advantages.
- Identify and define priority subcontractors for each bid.
- Direct Plans Coordinators for subcontractor / vendor pricing solicitation using SmartBidnet.
- Prepare and review detailed work scopes for subcontractors.
- Conduct pre-bid meetings with operations personnel and subcontractors as needed.
- Assist operations staff with logistics, staging, and phasing plans to ensure smooth execution.
- Set up bid day summaries, general requirements, and conceptual bid spreadsheets.
