About the Opportunity
Tadco is seeking a full-time Early Career Civil Engineer to work on a variety of exciting projects and gain hands-on experience across civil, structural, and environmental engineering projects. The individual will collaborate on site planning, structural design, and environmental assessments.
This is an entry-level position suited for recent graduates or early-career professionals with 1-2 years of experience in civil or environmental engineering, including internships or university project work.
What You’ll Accomplish Working with our Engineers:
- Prepare Site Plans, including site, utility, grading, and details
- Prepare structural calculations, drawings, including concrete foundation and steel or timber framing
- Conduct field scanning and detection of rebar locating
- Conduct field inspections, sampling, testing, and data collection
- Prepare field reports outlining findings and results
- Support site planning process, collaborating on hydrology, hydraulics, and environmental science projects
- Draft technical reports summarizing findings and project recommendations
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related fields (internships and university project work considered)
- Strong technical report writing and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and a client-focused approach
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter while thriving in a small-team environment
- Hands-on experience with fieldwork and office-based project support
- Proficiency in software such as CAD and structural analysis tools
- Ability to work schedules that may extend beyond the typical workweek, based on project-specific requirements
- MS Office proficiency (i.e.,Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification
- Expertise or coursework in hydrology
- Experience with site planning and structural/site design
- Familiarity with concrete and rebar design principles
- Interest in environmental science and sustainability
Additional Requirements:
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (local travel required)
