Taft Construction Group is seeking a Project Administrator to assist in various duties associated with construction of commercial and residential real estate. If you have bookkeeping experience and a knack for seeing projects to completion then this is the job for you!
* Duties/Responsibilities:
Prepares financial reports and various accounting statements.
Posts journal entries to general ledger.
Accounts Payable and Receivable.
Proofs accounting reports for clerical accuracy.
Allocates expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures.
Reviews cost proposals and pricing information.
Prepares and administers contracts and purchase orders with specific vendors.
Compares bids from vendors and determines, or assists with determination, to whom contracts will be awarded.
Evaluates vendor proposals to ensure that all requirements are met.
Confirms that terms and delivery dates are accurate.
Evaluates competence of vendors and reviews their invoices for accuracy.
Maintains database regarding vendors performance and quality of product(s).
Required Skills/Abilities:
Thorough understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures.
Experience with Yardi preferred.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
Knowledge of spreadsheets.
Education and Experience:
Associates Degree with 1 year related experience.
Physical Requirements:
Occasional walking, lifting (up to 15lbs), and long periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
