What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Project Manager position at Taft Construction Inc.?
Taft Construction, Inc, a class A commercial general contractor based in Culpeper, VA has an immediate opening for a full-time Assistant Project Manager. Candidate does not necessarily need to have a construction management background.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist project management team from Bid of project to completion
- Process job submittals
- Issue contracts and PO’s
- Order, track, and coordinate delivery of materials
- Act as a point of contact between owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Issue and process change orders
A successful candidate will have the following:
- Experience in a office environment, preferably construction
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office
- Experience in or ability to learn Masterbuilder Pro software
- Experience in or ability to learn Procore software
- Be highly organized and communicate well both verbally and written
- Have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while staying organized
- Ability to work in the office as well as visit jobsites
This is an office position and because of the nature of this position there is no ability to work remotely. This position will require some travel to jobsites for meetings which are all day travel projects. Fuel and a vehicle will be provided for these jobsite trips. This is a fulltime position with benefits that include medical and paid vacation.
The starting salary for this position will be adjusted based on experience and other qualifications of the candidate.
