POSITION: Events Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Visitor Experience
Team: Visitor Experience
Status: Part-Time
Shift: Saturdays 2:00 pm to 12:00 a.m., including some weekday afternoon/evenings as meetings/Events dictate. Hours are scheduled to Visitor Experience needs and must be flexible.
Compensation: Ranging from $21- $28 per hour based upon experience and certifications.

Position Overview:
The Taft Museum of Art, located in downtown Cincinnati, is seeking a part-time Events Coordinator, reporting to the Events and Sales Manager. This position requires a positive, highly organized team player who communicates proactively, is attentive to detail, manages multiple priorities, and has excellent communication and collaborative skills. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitates private events and facility rentals to include weddings, corporate events, and various forms of facility rentals as necessary.
- Coordinates efficient and orderly use of museum venues and meeting rooms, including proper communication of the event/meeting and rental information within the organization.
- Collaborates, develops, and implements policies and procedures to facilitate a high-quality guest experience.
- Collaborates with the Events & Sales Manager to ensure events and meetings are executed flawlessly.
- Works closely with internal clients and contracted vendors, to include caterers and equipment rental companies, in addition to external partners, clients, members, and donors to ensure compliance with TMA standards.
- Demonstrates innovation in events and meeting services to meet the needs of a range of audiences, including internal users, couples wedding planners, meeting bookers, and anyone planning an event or meeting at the Museum.
- Submits bartender invoices at the end of each event and disperses tips to staff.
- Manages event support team members and adheres to event timelines.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned.

REQUIRED CAPABILITIES & SKILLS

- Must be able to work a flexible schedule in line with the Museum's business needs.
- Ability to stand for long periods at a time, and minimal lifting of under 50 lbs.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree or equivalent experience in event planning or coordinating preferred.
- Ability to upsell, conceive, design, and produce a wide variety of activities for different purposes.
- A valid drivers license.
- Authorized to work in the US.
- Speaks English fluently.
