Taft is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to support our Accounting team in Taft's Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Detroit, Indianapolis or Minneapolis office.
The Financial Reporting Analyst performs a variety of administrative and accounting duties in order to maintain accurate financial records and reports. Duties include but are not limited to preparation of financial analyses, budgets, surveys, and monthly, quarterly & annual reports. Effective communication with attorneys, staff, and clients is crucial along with observing confidentiality of client and firm matters. Duties & Responsibilities :
- Prepare reports and financial analyses utilizing the accounting system, report writing tools, and Microsoft Excel.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting initiatives including management reporting, financial statement analyses, reconciliations, FTE analysis, etc.
- Assist various departments with completing surveys.
- Perform ad hoc projects, and analyses, as requested. Manage projects from beginning to end to ensure successful and timely completion.
- Develop a strong understanding of firm accounting application in order to serve as a "subject matter expert" regarding the financial system and integration.
- Utilize report writing tools (Excel / Power Query, SQL, Tableau, etc.) to provide timely and accurate financial information and analysis.
- Any job-related tasks as assigned.
