Taft is seeking a Legal Assistant to support our Litigation practice group in Taft’s Cincinnati office.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Composes or prepares documents and in/out correspondence according to Firm standards.
- Assist with trial preparation including but not limited to formation of exhibit binders and coordinating depositions.
- At the direction of the assigning attorney, corresponds with clients and vendors.
- Assist in managing client contacts, emails, and print documents as well as processing mail.
- Processes invoices for client disbursements and firm expenses for payment.
- Timely enters, reviews, and corrects time entries for assigned timekeepers.
- File documents with courts as needed; maintain pleading file index
- Assist with work-related travel arrangements.
- Creates, maintains, and retires files in accordance with Taft's Information Governance Policy.
- Responds to requests with a sense of urgency; Prioritizes work, monitors deadlines, and communicates the same to the assigned team.
- Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, credibility, and personal effectiveness.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities in a high-volume setting.
- Thoroughness and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate well with colleagues and work effectively as a team; effective written and oral communication skills.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least two years of related experience in a law firm preferred (litigation experience preferred).
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys/supervisors preferred.
- Proficiency in iManage preferred.
- Experience working in Microsoft Office required.
