Join our client as a Medical Scheduling Coordinator in Greenwich, CT, where you’ll oversee patient scheduling, ensure continuity of care, and support operational excellence. This role involves coordinating referrals, matching workers to cases, and addressing patient and employee needs while maintaining compliance with agency standards.
Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000/year
Location: Greenwich, CT
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Responsibilities as the Medical Scheduling Coordinator:
- Referral Coordination: Handle incoming referrals promptly, ensuring timely case openings and patient assignments.
- Scheduling Management: Match the best workers with cases, prioritize continuity of care, and maintain accurate weekly schedules.
- Staff Oversight: Report and address employee performance issues, including no-shows and schedule deviations.
- Patient Advocacy: Notify hospitals and facilities of the agency's services and support patients/families with certified home care options.
- Documentation: File and review medical records, para paperwork, and schedules to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Collaboration: Work with the Scheduling Manager on workflow improvements, patient complaints, and new processes.
Qualifications for the Medical Scheduling Coordinator:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Scheduling Coordinator in Home Care or Healthcare.
- Skills: Exceptional multitasking, organizational, and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software preferred.
