Restaurant Server

We are looking for competent Servers to work in our small but high-end restaurant. You’ll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers’ experiences. We offer the typical hourly wage plus excellent tips as well other benefits such as staff meals and an employee discount. We are open for dinner only every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and daily specials and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
• Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages (this means having a good understanding of the menu items and drinks).
• Take and serve orders
• Answer questions or make recommendations based off our menus and items availability
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen staff
• Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
• Issue bills and accept payment
• Completing open/close and side work in a timely manner

Skills

• Proven restaurant serving experience 3 years minimum (high-end experiences are a plus)
• Knowledge of Toast POS system
• Hands-on experience in cash handling
• Attention to cleanliness and safety
• Patience and customer-oriented approach
• Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
• Responsible and trustworthy
• Current TIPS certification

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.79 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 18 per week
