What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Hostess position at TAHOE BEACH CLUB?
Hostess
Reports to Restaurant Manager
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
Greet members and guests of the Club as they enter the building. Greet with smile and welcome them to the Club. Help member and guest to their assigned table. To provide prompt, efficient, personalized service and professionalism. Build relationships and promote the Club’s special offerings. Possess the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Provide superior customer service to all guests while displaying a friendly and courteous attitude keeping in line with Tahoe Beach Club traditions.
Hostess Responsibilities:
· You are the first and last person our members see – greet everyone with a smile and thank them for coming when they leave
· Greeting member or guest as they enter
· Ask if they have a reservation – if they don’t no problem! Take care of them either way. If need be let them know reservations are always encouraged and it helps us to prepare for them and ensure their visit is the best it can be
· Hang members and guests coats if/when you have time
· Grab the appropriate amount of menus and ask the member to follow you to their table.
· Pull out chair for the members and guests and let them know which server will be right with them
· Let server know their table has been sat
· Help out floor staff if need be
· Take to go orders on the phone
· End of shift help out staff if you have time
· Answer phone calls
· Know the menu and help expedite if necessary
· Ability to read a floor map
· Answer phones and listen to messages

· Holiday and weekends required based upon Clubhouse needs and activities.

Physical Job Requirements
Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying
o This position requires an average amount of physical labor such as bending, stooping, walking, reaching, and standing.
o Should be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Bending/Kneeling
o This position requires an average amount of physical labor such as bending, stooping, walking, reaching, and standing. This position requires this type of activity throughout the shift.
o This position requires office and computer time, and thus, there can be long periods at a desk.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
