Description
Tahoe Donner Association is looking for a fun and personable Wait Staff to join The Lodge Restaurant front of house operations! Wait Staff will be responsible for serving drinks and meals to patrons in The Lodge Restaurant. This position will be expected to educate members, guests, and the general public on the menu, guide them through their meal, and provide a memorable experience. Successful Wait Staff at The Lodge will handle complaints with patience and grace.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service.
- Write order on check or memorize it.
- Relay order to kitchen using computerized ordering system
- Serve courses from kitchen and service bars.
- Ensure dishes are properly garnished and prepared prior to serving.
- Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
- Total bill and accept payment or refer patron to Cashier.
- Ladle soup, toss salads, portion pies and desserts, brew coffee, and perform other services as determined by establishment's size and practices.
- Clear and reset counters or tables at conclusion of each course.

We are looking for the following qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training in restaurant serving; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Requires current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid certifications.
Salary : $17 - $23
