This position is expected to be a 24 hour/week schedule with the opportunity to flex up to 32 hours if needed.

Summary
The RN Occupational Health (OH) Case Manager is responsible for coordinating the health care services to achieve optimal, quality care for occupational medicine patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Functions as case manager for work injuries/illness and other designated work injuries.
- Develops and delivers occupational health injury and illness services, medical surveillance, health maintenance/education programs if requested.
- Assesses, analyzes and evaluates occupational injuries and illnesses and initiates appropriate clinical treatments.
- Reviews all work-related illness and injuries submitted.
- Care coordination of critical and potential patients from Emergency Department.
- Peer to peer requests for workers compensation.
- Manages medication refills, lab orders and messages for provider inbox.
- Assists providers with any additional support as needed.
- Maintains strong working relationship with district managers, Human Resources, physicians and area employer management staff.
- Assists with chart organization and scanning.
- Maintains strong patient education skills.
- Assists with treatment of work injury/illness on a scheduled and walk-in basis.
- Maintains effective working relationships with occupational health providers, workmen’s comp carriers, clients and System employees.
- Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.
- Complies with System policies and procedures.
- Other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Education/Experience
Associate's Degree Certificate of completion from college or vocational school from a National League of Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or equivalent accredited school of nursing. The nurse shall have completed a nursing education program that included clinical experiences with actual patients under the supervision of qualified faculty.
3 or more years relevant experience
Required Licenses/Certifications
California Registered Nurse (RN) - Upon hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers - Upon hire
BLS: Employee will be enrolled in the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Basic Life Support (BLS) Entry or Prep Curriculum (depending on their previous BLS certification). - Within 3 months of hire into job
Other Experience/Qualifications
Required:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Nevada RN license
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse
