Job Summary: Our club is seeking a highly motivated, friendly, and experienced Banquet Server. The successful candidate with be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to members and guests during banquets and events. The server will work closely with the Director of Event Sales, Events Manager, Food & Beverage Director and Manager, and Executive Chef and other crew members to ensure the successful execution o the all events.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Arrives to work in uniform and ready to work on the floor by the time scheduled.
- Set up,(including draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, setting glassware, and centerpieces) and breakdown of banquet rooms, tables, chairs, and other equipment as needed.
- Greets members and guests in a friendly and welcoming manner and maintains a warm and friendly interactive service atmosphere.
- Respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor guest needs and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Service to include picking up food from kitchen, serving food, pouring wine.
- Clear tables and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
- Attend all required training sessions and meetings.
- Follow all club policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Events Manager, Executive Chef, or Food & Beverage Director/Manager.
Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club’s operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks, not specifically addressed above.

Qualifications
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year food and beverage experience. Previous banquet or catering experience preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to work legally in the United States.
Language/Communication: Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English). Must be able to work as part of a team and maintain open communication with managers and fellow coworkers. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests or members of the community. Must display professional demeanor and always communicate in professional language.
Certificates/Licenses/Safety Training: State accredited Alcohol Training Certification is required within 30 days of employment. California Food Handlers Card required upon hire.
