- Welding carbon steel for an international ice cream manufacturer.
- Support the welding of stainless steel piping for the largest manufacturer of home improvement projects.
Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:
- Install, maintain and troubleshoot mechanical systems including installing piping, material handling equipment (belt & pneumatic conveyors), packaging and process equipment.
- Manage Mechanical projects; tracking time, materials, expenses, job safety, etc.
- Ensure projects are completed on-time and within budget.
- Oversee a staff of 3-4 mechanics, pipefitters, and welders.
- Perform cost estimates, write proposals, and respond to client inquiries.
- Diagnose and correct electrical malfunctions to maintain equipment in a state of operating effectiveness.
- Maintain and repair plant instrumentation.
- Develop wiring diagrams as necessary.
- Complete records and inventory of supplies necessary for performance of jobs.
- Perform preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance on mechanical devices and other equipment.
- Maintain personal work tools.
- Conduct daily safety risk assessments on routine and non-routine job tasks.
You'll be a perfect fit if you have:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of eight years industrial mechanical experience.
- Current or ability to obtain OSHA 10 certification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in time management, communications, decision making, human relations and organization.
- Familiarity with large horsepower equipment/motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, mobile equipment, and rigging equipment.
- Knowledge of powder handling equipment is a decided plus (belt & pneumatic conveyors, screws, hoppers, dust collectors, storage silos & feeders).
- Knowledge of powder packaging equipment a decided plus.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends at Company's discretion.
- Industrial electrical experience preferred. High-Voltage and/or PLC knowledge a plus.
- Work with limited supervision.
- Proven ability to work in a safe manner, adhere to safe practices.
Compensation and benefits offering:
- Pay: $35 - $45 an hour (based on experience)
- Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable depending on firm’s performance, employee performance, and tenure).
