As a Senior Accountant at Tailor Made Compounding, you will be integral to our finance team, reporting directly to the CFO. Your primary responsibilities will include performing key accounting functions such as account reconciliation, general ledger maintenance, managing the month-end close process, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:
- Account Reconciliation & General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure accuracy and completeness of all accounts by performing regular reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger.
- Month-End Close Process: Lead and manage the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Financial Statement Creation: Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Fixed Asset Schedule Management: Manage and maintain the fixed asset schedule, ensuring proper capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to gather and analyze financial data, assisting in departmental budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Strategic Projects & Process Improvement: Take ownership of or contribute to special projects that support financial optimization, cost-saving initiatives, or system improvements.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Provide insightful financial analysis to the CFO and other senior leaders to support decision-making processes.
- A/R & A/P Backup Support: Provide backup support for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions as needed, ensuring smooth operations during periods of high volume or absences.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 2 years of accounting experience, with a proven track record in general ledger, financial reporting, and month-end close.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar), Excel, and other financial systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
