Reports To:                        DC Supervisor/Management Team

 

Location:                            E-Commerce Distribution Center (MDDC)

                                             500 Hanover Pike

                                             Hampstead, MD 21074

 

Hours of Operation:  

Work Schedule: Mon - Fri: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Days and hours may fluctuate due to workload. Must be able to work weekends and overtime when necessary (1 position).

 

 

Position Summary:   The Problem Solver will assist management in overseeing all daily operational processes associated with TMW/JAB/ Retail activities in accordance with company guidelines in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment.  This position requires being responsible for providing customer service and assisting management with daily Retail fulfillment operations. This position will lead by example and work with several departments and team members to ensure fulfillment goals and customer standards are met.

 

Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Problem Solver will consist of but are not limited to the following:

·   Assist management in providing daily resolution to problems (hands-on approach) on the Distribution Center floor to ensure customer order problems are solved in a timely and efficient manner for all operational issues

·   Communicate, explain and coach team members and temporary workers in order to reduce problem issues

·   Track information to facilitate problem resolution in an expedite manner

·   Aid in overseeing key operational areas including quality of products and timely resolution to problems.

·   Investigate, analyze, and provide recommendations related to DC operations to ensure efficiencies and effectiveness of the department’s operations.

·   Establish and maintain strong working relationships with staff, Customer Service Team, and stores while ensuring prompt and courteous customer service.

·   Ensure accurate and rapid movement and processing of merchandise as well as accurate inventory of every product line in the DC.

·   Assist in assuring the inventory of merchandise is in the proper designated areas and assist with physical inventory.

·   Work closely with management team to recommend improvements that would further decrease problem issues and expedite resolution.

·   Maintain and promote positive employee relations and morale whenever possible by practicing good servant leadership principles to promote team work at all times.

·   Contribute to building and fostering a positive team spirit and support company’s goals and objectives by providing outstanding performance and world class customer service.

·   Advise management of all equipment breakdowns and maintenance needs immediately to ensure good routine preventive maintenance on all equipment and facility is in proper working condition

·   Special projects as needed and any additional duties assigned by management team

 

Qualifications:   

·   Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required

·   Minimum one (1) year experience in a high-volume distribution center environment with a high degree of excellence

·   Prior experience in the use of warehouse technology equipment and tools (radio-frequency scanners)

·   Working knowledge of PC skills and with Excel, Outlook, and Word (proficiency testing will be administered by HR)

·   Prior experience in retail E-Commerce Fulfillment/Distribution or E-commerce operational processes knowledge/background is a plus.

·   Knowledge in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferably with Manhattan is a plus.

·   Excellent communication and people skills required with excellent command of the English language and Spanish language is a plus.  (Verbal and written) needed to perform job duties.

·   Commitment to quality and customer service

·   Solid attention to detail, ability to follow directions and apply problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies

·   Highly motivated and high initiative in providing proactive efforts in seeking solutions to problems and willingness to take on new tasks, challenges, and opportunities.

·   Strong organizational, analytical, multi-tasking, and follow-through skills

·   Professional and positive attitude at all times with the highest level of customer service

·   Possess a sense of urgency required to work in a deadline driven environment.

·   Ability to work in all areas of the warehouse and work well in a team environment

·   Dependable team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done and flexible in scheduling is required based on business needs. There is a blackout period from November thru January (i.e.; increased hours, weekends, holidays, and volume of work, staffing shortages, etc.)

·   Ability to work in a warehouse environment setting with physical demands that include continuous standing, walking, sitting, use of hands and fingers, grasping, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, stretching, crouching, crawling, pulling, pushing, working and reaching overhead, using ladders or lifts, and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds or more
