Human Resources Internship
Part Time: 15-20 hours a week required
Pay: $17.00/hour
Location: Columbus, OH
Position Overview:
As the Human Resources Intern you will support the daily operations of our HR department. This role provides hands-on experience in key HR functions, including onboarding, compliance, employee engagement, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and professional individual pursuing a career in Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with pre-hire onboarding and orientation tasks for internal new hires.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance within the HRIS system.
- Manage and respond to inquiries in the HR service inbox.
- Draft and track offer letters, promotion notices, and compensation adjustment letters.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal pay-it-forward efforts.
- Schedule meetings and trainings, while assisting in the creation and organization of materials.
- Conduct and support HR audits to ensure compliance.
- Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the HR Generalist on various HR projects and tasks.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Skills & Competencies:
- Passion for HR and a desire to build a career in the field.
- Professional, accountable, and emotionally intelligent with a service-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, assertiveness, and diplomacy.

- Adaptability and patience in handling multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate HRIS and HR software applications.
