Job Title: Technical Project Manager - Cybersecurity

Job Summary:
The Technical Project Manager - Cybersecurity reports directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and is responsible for managing projects and coordinating compliance activities within the Cybersecurity department.
This role focuses on overseeing SOC 2, SOX, and other security compliance initiatives for the IT organization.
Additionally, the Project Manager will support high-visibility and complex cybersecurity projects, working closely with engineers across various functions.
Should have strong technical project management skills and a deep understanding of SOC 2 and other security frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Management (SOC 2, SOX, and Other Programs)
- Develop and manage compliance plans in partnership with external auditors.
- Coordinate meetings with subject matter experts (SMEs), facilitate communication, and track completion of open tasks and deliverables.
- Organize, validate, and submit compliance evidence.
Project Management
- Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to develop project plans and track progress against key milestones.
- Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management, escalating risks or issues as needed.
- Actively manage the project critical path to identify risks, issues, and dependencies before they impact project timelines.
- Work closely with the CISO and cybersecurity team to develop executive-level presentations on project progress and risk assessment.
- Design and maintain Jira dashboards to track and communicate vulnerability remediation progress.
- Support cybersecurity-related efforts in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities.
Must-Have Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in cybersecurity, application development, or IT.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity and IT infrastructure concepts to facilitate communication, analysis, and reporting.
- Proven experience managing SOC 2 or similar compliance projects and audits.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, audit processes, risk management, and control implementation.
- Proficiency in Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Intermediate to advanced PowerPoint skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to drive teams to reduce ambiguity, facilitate problem-solving, and encourage collaboration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address cybersecurity challenges effectively.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
