We are seeking an experienced Foreman to join our team in Mount Vernon, WA. In this role, you will manage locating and supervise all start-of-day and end-of-day tasks assigned for team safety, preparation and care of equipment and vehicles.

The Role
- Manage locating and supervise all start-of-day and end-of-day tasks assigned for team safety, preparation and care of equipment and vehicles (Examples: PPE reminders, vehicle fluids, tire safety, tool inspections)
- Maintaining the equipment and vehicles and lead the daily work plan, goals and requirements by active participation in pre-task and post-task team meetings, including reviews of safe work practices, work orders, job prints and job notes
- Operate heavy equipment and machinery while ensuring the safety of the crew
- Assist, enable and otherwise help complete job requirements, including, for example, assisting management, other equipment operators and/or the foreman with loading, unloading or positioning equipment, shoring or bracing, placing underground utilities, or placing or removing asphalt or concrete
- Lifting, carrying and holding materials, supplies, tools and equipment
- Perform quality checks on construction equipment and machinery
- Participate in employee performance reviews
Requirements
- Must demonstrate competency of reading and written communications skills sufficient to work safely with equipment and process requirements
- Requires skills to receive, understand and apply instructions for assigned work tasks, including necessary reading comprehension for safety, equipment operations and hazard warnings
- Ability to read construction drawings and blueprints
- Basic computer skills
- Requires deep knowledge of construction practices and/or experience in machine and equipment operation with safety practices
- Standing, crouching, walking, stooping, reaching and talking or hearing; these activities are frequent, and necessary to be present and to communicate in performing essential functions and other duties
- Reaching, bending, pushing, carrying or lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and exerting force up to 80 pounds occasionally. The activities are frequent as necessary for the delivery and installation of materials, and/or for use of equipment and supplies
- Visual acuity for work assignments which may require operating motor vehicles and/or equipment.
- It includes exposures primarily to outdoor all-weather conditions with limited protection from weather elements, including exposure to high heat, wind and rain
- Exposure to hazards in worksite conditions, such as proximity to equipment in operation, moving vehicles, all underground utilities, including gas and electric current, and working with excavation shoring
- Valid driver’s license
- Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
