We are seeking a senior leader in broadband to serve as Vice President of Broadband Solutions. This leader will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of broadband infrastructure projects, including fiber-to-the-premis (FTTx) construction. This role combines strategic vision with operational execution to drive the successful delivery of projects, strengthen client relationships, and ensure the company’s long-term growth in the broadband sector. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in construction management, broadband solutions, and team leadership.
The Role
- Direct the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards
- Implement best practices and processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Monitor project progress through key performance indicators (KPIs), addressing challenges proactively to maintain operational excellence
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including ISPs, utility companies, and municipalities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for high-level client discussions, addressing concerns and ensuring alignment with project goals
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes, budgets, and timelines, ensuring clear communication and accountability
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing construction and broadband solutions team.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of project managers, supervisors, and field staff
- Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all teams
- Develop and manage budgets for construction and broadband operations, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability
- Evaluate the ROI of potential investments in equipment, tools, and technology
- Work closely with finance and procurement teams to ensure optimal resource allocation and contract management
- Ensure all construction activities adhere to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Promote a culture of safety and accountability across all project sites
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in broadband infrastructure, fiber construction (FTTx), or telecommunications project management
- 5 years of senior leadership experience managing diverse, cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects with strong operational and strategic focus
- Expertise in FTTx construction processes, broadband technologies, and industry regulations
- Demonstrated ability to mentor teams, build client relationships, and manage stakeholder expectations
- Experience with budgeting, resource optimization, and ROI analysis for technology investments
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and experience fostering a safety-first culture
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in project management tools and data-driven performance analysis
- Ability to meet all pre-employment requirements (MVR, background check, drug screen)
Additional Information
- Compensation Range: $225,000 - $260,000 annually, DOE
