Description
The primary function of this position is to provide general technical support for technicians at our dealers and National accounts. This would include troubleshooting and diagnosis primarily via telephone.
Essential Functions:
- Work safely and comply with safety guidelines.
- Maintain an organized, safe, professional workshop and service area that maximizes safety and efficiency.
- Dependable and conducts work thoroughly and accurately.
- Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems via phone, text, and email.
- Operate forklifts as needed.
- Assist in providing machine campaign support for Takeuchi inventory.
- Assist with failure analysis of machine components and communicate details with the National Service Manager to develop reports and determine warranty merit.
- May be required to support the research of technical issues which are brought to our attention by the Service and Warranty department.
- Aid general service, or production needs, i.e., install value-added components, and remove/reinstall parts as required to support the manufacturing process.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Follow up with customers to ensure successful resolution of technical issues and gather feedback on service experiences.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and support.
- Demonstrable mechanical aptitude.
- Professional or technical training in mechanics is a plus.
- Ability to work well with others and handle difficult situations in a professional manner.
- Working knowledge of machines, diesel engines, and hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- The ability to analyze major mechanical components to determine causal failures is a major plus.
- Proficiency in computers and a basic understanding of Microsoft operating systems.
- Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
- Capability to execute and complete required task with little or no supervision.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Demonstrated record of success with qualified supporting references.
- The position is based out of the Pendergrass, Georgia office.
