Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain an organized and clean bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and handling regulations.
- Engage with guests to provide exceptional service, taking orders and offering recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable.
- Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies and communicate needs for reordering to management.
- Stay updated on current beverage trends and menu offerings to enhance guest experience.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Bartender in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in using OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
- Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and drink preparation measurements.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Excellent guest relations skills with the ability to create a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
- Culinary knowledge related to beverage pairings and menu offerings is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in accordance with state regulations.
