Job Description
A renowned community hospital serving a culturally diverse area of New York City, is hiring a Psychiatrist, Medical Director of the Child/Adolescent Psychiatric Outpatient Services (CAOPD). The Outpatient Services include the Child and Adolescent Outpatient Clinic, School Based Mental Health Programs, Child Crisis Intervention Services, Pediatric Emergency/Crisis Consultation Service and an opportunity to participate in new initiatives including Transition Aged Youth Program and Caring Transition Services.
Responsibilities
- The administration, planning, organization and overall general management of the Child and Adolescent Services
- Join the Medical leadership team of Behavioral Health
- Participate in quality assurance and incident review management meetings
- Report to the Chief of Psychiatry
- Schedule: full-time
Requirements
- MD/DO degree
- Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
- Valid New York State License
- DEA and Medicaid number
- Strong clinical abilities, teaching experience, communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior management/leadership positions
- Experience with academic medical center and/or public health systems is preferred.
