Our client, a community hospital serving a culturally diverse area of New York City, is hiring a Psychiatrist, Medical Director of the Child / Adolescent Psychiatric Outpatient Services (CAOPD). The Outpatient Services include the Child and Adolescent Outpatient Clinic, School Based Mental Health Programs, Child Crisis Intervention Services, Pediatric Emergency / Crisis Consultation Service and an opportunity to participate in new initiatives including Transition Aged Youth Program and Caring Transition Services.
Responsibilities :
The administration, planning, organization and overall general management of the Child and Adolescent Services
Join the Medical leadership team of Behavioral Health
Participate in quality assurance and incident review management meetings
Report to the Chief of Behavioral Health Ambulatory Care Services and the Chief of Psychiatry
Schedule : full-time
Requirements : MD / DO degree
Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
Valid New York State License
DEA and Medicaid number
Strong clinical abilities, teaching experience, communication and interpersonal skills
Prior management / leadership positions
Experience with academic medical center and / or public health systems is preferred.
