Job Title: HCV Quality Assurance Specialist
The Quality Assurance Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance in housing authority operations. Working closely with clients and internal teams, you will be responsible for conducting thorough quality assurance reviews, implementing best practices, and providing expert guidance to optimize compliance processes.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Operates under the direct general supervision of a supervisor; the Housing Specialist exercises no supervision over other employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Public Administration, Business
Administration, or a related discipline; or Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, or a related field, preferably within the housing authority sector.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform comprehensive quality assurance reviews of housing authority operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and implement quality assurance protocols, standards, and methodologies to drive continuous improvement and excellence in compliance practices.
- Conduct audits and assessments of program documentation, eligibility determinations, and financial transactions to identify areas of noncompliance and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with housing authority staff and management to address compliance issues, provide training and support and facilitate process improvements.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of compliance initiatives, tracking key performance
- Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to housing compliance, and provide expert guidance and recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Prepare detailed reports, analysis, and documentation summarizing findings, recommendations, and action plans for improving compliance practices.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance matters, participating in meetings, trainings, and presentations as needed to support client needs and business objectives.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Public Administration, Business
Administration, or a related discipline; or Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, or a related field, preferably within the housing authority sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build positive relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Certification in quality assurance, compliance, or related field (e g., Quality Auditor
- Certification) preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience in Social Services/rental housing preferred
- Knowledge of HUD rules and regulations preferred
