What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housing Specialist (SSVF) - Veteran Services position at Talbert House?
Position Summary: Responsible for assisting tenants with their housing needs in order to become self-sufficient.
Position Description:
- Maintain regular contact with tenants to monitor housing needs and barriers
- Complete housing search with potential tenant to quickly and efficiently obtain housing in the community
- Assist with lease signings
- Educate and advocate for tenants in regards to Fair Housing Laws and Tenant Rights and Responsibilities
- Document timely and accurately all activities as defined by funder and credentialing entity
- Complete initial and periodic inspections of housing units
- Input data into all applicable electronic systems
- Operate personal computer to input and retrieve data and produce reports and correspondence
- Perform problem solving and conflict management as needed
- Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in a related area
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
