Located in Rensselaer Indiana, Talbert has been serving the transportation industry since 1938 for custom trailers covering commercial, construction, transportation, utility, military, government, aerospace, agriculture, oil field, rail, energy applications as well as inner plant material handling movers and manufacturing systems.
Talbert Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking to hire Painting Supervisors
They will provide direct supervision over the painting department, ensuring that a quality product is provided in a cost efficient and timely manner. They will also ensure the planning and utilization of equipment, facilities and personnel to meet production goals.

Key Job Elements:
- Direct finish/paint personnel including scheduling adherence, policy and procedure administration and documentation of all areas of responsibilities
- Adherence to the company’s quality policies, standards, and procedures
- Provide workflow management, planning, mechanical expertise and analysis and training necessary to operate department in a clean, safe, and productive manner
- Manage troubleshooting activity including systematic resolution of problem, coordination of team, resources and communication of progress to appropriate management, always ensuring that the customer needs are met
- Review daily production log while ensuring that the production schedule is being followed and met
- Communicate and motivate to maintain and improve personnel performance through listening skills, meeting skills, appraisals, progressive discipline and quality practices
- Review and approve employee time cards and schedules, including overtime management
- Initiate equipment improvements as needed as well as participate in capital and continuous improvement projects
- Requisition departmental supplies as needed
Qualifications:
Required
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Strong background in painting/finish
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
Preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
- Experience in trailer manufacturing

Pay: $55,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
