Overview
Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with key audit contacts. Develop, participate and direct the audit execution of new and/or existing business processes and information systems related to financial, actuarial and investment risks to ensure that appropriate controls exist, processing is efficient and accurate, and procedures are in line with industry standards. Possess and apply comprehensive knowledge of insurance industry and risk domain expertise to complete integrated audit assignments. Provide direction, training, and evaluation of all members of complex audit assignments.

Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and role model behaviors relating to leadership, with a particular emphasis on leading through change, talent mindset and audit proficiency.
- Develop and lead the execution of financial, actuarial and investment risk audit programs leveraging an integrated mindset.
- Plan, conduct and direct complex audit and consulting projects, including the preparation of an objective risk-based assessment and an effective audit approach.
- Leverage data analytics to provide high value insights on key areas of financial, actuarial and investment risks and controls.
- Evaluate audit results and recommend improvements related to the control environment and current risk management practices.
- Prepare and present reports for management and the Board on the results of audits and key themes emerging.
- Develop and maintain key relationships and serve as an active participant in risk forums involving risk and control.
- As a manager, develop staff capabilities and competencies with training and coaching pertaining to financial, actuarial and investment risk areas and auditing best practices.
- B.A./B.S. Degree in Business accounting, finance or actuarial science
- Minimum of 10 years of combined business and audit experience
- CPA, CIA, ASA certification(s) are preferred
- Strong expertise in risk management and audit planning is preferred
- Highly refined analytic and strategic mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Passion to drive project management negotiations across a matrixed team
- Knowledge of current changes and developments in the industry, regulatory environment and audit profession
- Demonstrated leadership acumen and professional diplomacy
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with stakeholders
