Hourly Salary : $16.25 / hr
Annual Salary : $33,800
On Call Requirements : On call on the weekends from 7 : 00 am – 8 : 00 pm with staggered start times
With guidance from OR Sterile Processor Lead, Coordinator, Surgical Equipment Supplies or other assigned preceptors, the Trainee will assist ad learn to properly re-process surgical instrumentation and equipment. Performing decontamination, distribution, inventory, instrumentation, ad sterilization duties Adheres to safety and professional standards of conduct as a processing technician. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with co-workers and customers. Takes responsibility for self - development and supports a learning environment. Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values.
Required Physical and Environmental Demands :
This job requires the ability to walk six to eight miles in an eight-hour shift and to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50pounds. This job also requires that an individual be able to work under periods of high stress and in a consistently fast-paced environment. Exposure to communicable disease and / or body fluids. Ability to perform duties while standing, sitting, and bending or reaching for prolonged periods of time. Ability to instrument trays ad linen packs weighing 25 pounds on a continual basis etc.
