Key Responsibilities
Wireless Network Migration
- Lead the migration of wireless sites to a new Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) and new servers, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
- Configure the new DNAC, including integration with AWS, and handle the transition from the old DNAC to the new system.
- Oversee the upgrade of existing DNAC systems and ensure successful implementation of new features and capabilities.
- Perform hands-on configuration of Cisco wireless equipment, including access points, controllers, and related infrastructure.
- Develop and implement wireless network designs that align with organizational needs and industry best practices.
- Provide technical expertise on wireless network design, deployment, and optimization.
- Address complex technical questions and issues related to the migration and integration of DNAC systems.
- Assess the implications of moving DNAC and provide solutions to potential challenges.
- Be available for work during weekends as required to support migration activities and address critical issues.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving, with the ability to work independently.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, migration plans, and implementation processes.
- Provide support and training to team members and end-users on new wireless systems and configurations.
Education and Experience
- Proven experience in configuring and managing Cisco wireless networks, including access points, controllers, and DNAC systems.
- Experience with migrating and upgrading DNAC systems, including integration with AWS.
- Hands-on experience with broader network technologies is a plus, as it contributes to long-term role stability and growth.
- Strong expertise in wireless network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in configuring Cisco wireless equipment and managing DNAC systems.
- Understanding of network architecture, including integration with cloud platforms like AWS.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle work during weekends as needed.
