Our client, a prominent national law firm is seeking a Director of Attorney Recruitment and Development to lead and enhance its firmwide attorney recruitment and professional development initiatives. This strategic leadership role involves driving growth, managing lateral hiring, and supporting attorney integration across multiple offices. The position also oversees a team of recruitment professionals, ensuring alignment with the firms strategic objectives. This role is available in several office locations, including Chicago, Washington DC, Boston, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, New York, New Jersey, Minneapolis, and multiple offices in Florida.
Responsibilities : Attorney Recruitment
- Lead and mentor a team of recruitment professionals, overseeing lateral partner, associate, and summer associate hiring.
- Develop and implement firmwide recruitment strategies to support the firm's strategic growth objectives.
- Engage proactively with potential candidates, promoting the firms culture and values to build a robust talent pipeline.
- Conduct market analysis to identify top lateral partner candidates and inform strategic recruitment decisions.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to assess growth sectors and identify hiring needs.
- Design and execute comprehensive recruitment campaigns, ensuring a seamless and efficient hiring process.
- Communicate the firm's value proposition effectively to lateral candidates, emphasizing key strengths and opportunities.
- Partner with Practice Group Leaders to support strategic lateral hiring initiatives.
- Assist in creating marketing and recruitment materials to promote the firms growth.
- Collaborate with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) team to enhance diverse attorney recruitment initiatives.
- Manage all administrative aspects of lateral partner hiring, including due diligence, conflicts checks, compensation package design, and pipeline tracking.
- Oversee attorney onboarding and integration processes to ensure a positive transition experience.
- Track recruitment metrics to improve processes and support data-driven decision-making.
- Supervise recruiting staff in managing lateral associate and summer associate hiring processes.
- Oversee associate compensation and bonus programs to maintain competitive and equitable pay structures.
