Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid Role)

Reports To: CIO

Salary: $65,000-$80,000

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Pricing Analyst with advanced Excel expertise to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing pricing strategies, analyzing market trends, and optimizing profitability across products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, data analysis, and pricing optimization and must be proficient in advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros, VBA, Power Query, etc.)

The Pricing Analyst will collaborate cross-functionally with sales, finance, marketing, and operations teams to develop pricing models that align with business objectives and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Pricing Strategy & Analysis

• Develop and implement pricing models and strategies to optimize revenue and profitability.
• Conduct competitive pricing analysis to identify trends and areas of opportunity.
• Monitor market conditions, costs, and demand fluctuations to adjust pricing recommendations.
• Support product lifecycle pricing from launch to end-of-life pricing adjustments.

✅ Data & Financial Analysis

• Utilize advanced Excel functions (PivotTables, VBA, Power Query, etc.) to analyze large datasets and develop reports.
• Create pricing forecasts, profitability analyses, and cost models to support decision-making.
• Develop discounting structures, promotional pricing, and margin optimization strategies.

✅ Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with sales, finance, and operations teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives.
• Provide pricing recommendations and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
• Assist in developing automated pricing tools and dashboards to streamline pricing processes.

✅ Reporting & Process Improvement

• Track pricing performance metrics, conduct variance analysis, and recommend improvements.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and pricing workflows using Excel, Power BI, or SQL.
• Ensure pricing governance and compliance with internal policies and industry standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

🔹 Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in pricing analysis, financial analysis, or a related analytical role.

🔹 Technical & Analytical Skills

• Expert-level Excel skills (Advanced formulas, VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros, VBA, Power Query).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and SQL is a plus.
• Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills.
• Ability to analyze large data sets and provide actionable insights.
