We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Orlando, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing complex mechanical systems for large-scale projects, including amusement rides and other high-stress industrial applications. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on pneumatic/hydraulic systems, stress analysis, and structural calculations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical System Design: Create and implement integrated mechanical systems using tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- System Calculations & Analysis: Perform stress analysis, fatigue analysis, material stress calculations, load calculations, and reliability assessments to ensure system integrity and safety.
- Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems: Design and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic control systems, ensuring reliability and safety.
- Risk & Hazard Analysis: Lead hazard analysis and risk mitigation, optimizing redundancy and minimizing single points of failure in critical system designs.
- System Installation & Commissioning: Lead the installation, debugging, and start-up of integrated mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with ASTM amusement ride safety standards and other relevant regulations.
- Technical Leadership: Act as a technical lead on projects, guiding lower-level engineers, technicians, and contractors to meet project objectives.
- Project Management: Manage smaller projects ranging from $50k to $250k, including developing schedules, assigning tasks, and overseeing progress to meet deadlines.

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in high-stress environments such as amusement rides, aerospace, or heavy manufacturing.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and FEA for system design and analysis.
- Technical Skills:
- Proven experience in stress analysis, fatigue analysis, load calculations, and reliability assessments.
- In-depth knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic control systems design and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of ASTM amusement ride safety standards, NEC electrical codes, and OSHA safety regulations.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to manage small-scale projects and act as a technical lead.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 35% for on-site support, commissioning, and project troubleshooting.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to handle physical tasks such as climbing, lifting, and working on-site in diverse industrial environments.
