An industrial foreman is responsible for overseeing construction activities on lift stations, water treatment facilities and other industrial projects, managing the day-to-day tasks of the electricians and apprentices, interpreting the plans and specifications to execute and complete daily tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Oversee daily operations at the worksite, coordinating tasks and assigning duties to electricians and apprentices.
- Install and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and devices in buildings.
- Install electrical components according to building codes and regulations.
- Work with other electricians and contractors to complete projects.
- Diagnose electrical problems in industrial settings.
- Conduct circuit tests to ascertain their operational status, whether energized or de-energized.
- Measure voltage, amperage, resistance, and phase displacement using electrical instruments.
