Talent Depot is hiring on behalf of a client for an experienced Transportation Project Manager to lead and manage key civil engineering and roadway projects. Position Overview
The Transportation Project Manager will lead a dynamic team, oversee complex roadway projects, and ensure the successful execution of project deliverables. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships efficiently. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in transportation design, project management, and a deep understanding of MDOT (Michigan Department of Transportation) projects .
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams through the planning, design, and execution of transportation and roadway projects.
Develop project criteria, schedules, and budgets, ensuring adherence to project scopes and timelines.
Oversee all aspects of project development, from initial studies and engineering to final design and construction documentation.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
Maintain and expand client relationships by delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Attend client meetings, industry events, and represent the firm in relevant presentations.
Conduct site visits as needed to assess project progress and compliance.
Requirements Must-Have Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (required).
Professional Engineering (PE) License (required).
Minimum of 8 years of experience in highway design and engineering, including MDOT projects.
At least 5 years of project management experience, overseeing transportation infrastructure projects.
Strong leadership and project coordination skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
