Job Description:
- Responsible for completing a set of books and managing the month-end close for 25-30 entities in the Middle East.
- Previous managerial experience is preferred.
- Lead and supervise a team of 4-5 members.
- Shadow and gain knowledge of facility accounting, though immediate responsibility for facility-level close will not be required.
- Strong Excel skills are essential, with the ability to manipulate large data sets.
- Assist the controller in implementing an internal audit program, requiring knowledge of auditing and/or SOX compliance (we are not SOX-compliant but need to be lender-compliant and have a lot of cleanup to do).
- Conduct audits of items within the internal audit program.
- Understand the complex legal entity structure, including holding and lender roll-ups.
- Provide support for system implementation, potentially leading portions of the transition to NetSuite, expected to occur in early to mid-2025.
- Focus on process improvements, which may include developing standardized templates to enhance efficiency.
- Oversee one senior accountant (current team member) and manage the following tasks:
- Perform 60 facility bank reconciliations
- Calculate and manage management fees and journal entries
- Handle shared resource allocations
- Conduct intercompany reconciliations
- Manage expense report journal entries and allocations
- Oversee credit card journal entries and allocations
- Manage shared revenue journal entries
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2-3 years of experience as a Senior Accountant
- 4-6 years of experience as a General Ledger Accountant
- Experience with Sage Intacct or NetSuite is preferred
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
