Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Network Construction Manager with expertise in small cell deployment and fiber construction. This role requires a strong background in overseeing fiber and small cell projects from design to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both underground and aerial fiber installation, including splicing, testing, and understanding blueprints. Additionally, proficiency in project management, contractor coordination, and maintaining detailed documentation is essential.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in small cell deployment and fiber construction, including underground and aerial installations.
- Strong understanding of fiber splicing, testing, and blueprints/construction drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Visio), Google Earth, Adobe Acrobat, and basic web application infrastructure.
- Solid experience with project management tools and field documentation (e.g., photos, audits, quality control).
- Ability to coordinate and manage contractors, ensuring adherence to timelines, safety protocols, and contractual obligations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous roles such as Fiber Construction Manager, Fiber Splicer, Fiber Engineer, or Outside Plant Construction Operations.
- Experience managing project budgets, change orders, and vendor relationships.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems like Microsoft CRM.
