This role is key in collaborating with senior leadership to drive strategic IT initiatives, enhance workflows, and identify opportunities for improvement through technology.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead and execute IT integration strategies for newly acquired assets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with senior executives to ensure integration efforts are aligned with broader digital transformation initiatives.
- Partner with local IT teams to assess existing systems and identify integration needs, focusing on EHR and ancillary system integration.
- Act as the primary liaison between integration teams and enterprise IT to ensure alignment on system capabilities and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to resolve integration challenges and ensure smooth transitions.
- Serve as the main IT contact for vendors during the integration process, managing scope, contracts, and performance.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that integration milestones are met on time.
- Ensure data management practices comply with regulatory standards and facilitate interoperability.
- Provide training and ongoing support to staff at newly acquired sites to ensure successful system adoption.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of integration efforts and make adjustments to improve performance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends to recommend best practices and innovations in IT integration.
- Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; Master s degree preferred.
- 12 years of IT leadership experience, particularly in healthcare systems integration and hospital acquisitions/mergers.
- Previous experience managing and leading and Epic Big Bang implementation.
- Proven track record in managing complex integrations, including EHR system migrations (e.g., Meditech to Epic, Athena to Epic).
- Expertise in Revenue Cycle Management and Epic EHR technology.
- Deep understanding of healthcare IT systems and integration methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
- Strong project management skills with expertise in project management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with senior executives.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
