About The Position
As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for performing warehouse functions both indoors and outdoors. This role requires you to manage inventory, load and unload materials, ensure safety and hygiene standards are met, and assist with the preparation of orders and stock.
Key Deliverables
- Receive, unload, and store incoming inventory in designated locations.
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory and stock.
- Inspect inventory for damages and document any issues.
- Ensure warehouse operations comply with safety and hygiene standards for shipping and receiving.
- Properly place all incoming orders in the correct location.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
- Maintain kit pick lists using work and sales order documentation. Coordinate and/or pull and stage parts for production, shipping, and service departments.
- Safely load and unload materials from pallets, trucks, racks, and shelves using hand tools, forklifts, or cranes.
- Review work orders to ensure closure, monitor partials, and report any shortages to the supervisor. Help fill shortages as new stock arrives.
- Assist with maintaining inventory location codes within the system.
- Safely move and store materials from stores, staging areas, and work centers to designated locations.
- Safely secure lifting attachments and convey loads to appropriate destinations.
- Count, weigh, and record materials to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Properly store Work in Progress (WIP) and finished goods.
- Participate in physical inventory preparation and activities.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Use material handling equipment, as necessary.
- Participate actively in accident prevention and adhere to safety protocols.
- Assist with other projects as required.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 0-1 years of experience in a warehouse or material control environment preferred.
- Experience with forklift operation, lifting, and crane use is required.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems.
- Ability to measure, read, and interpret part drawings and codes, symbols, and data.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to track inventory accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where needs and priorities change frequently.
- Flexible and willing to assist in various warehouse activities as needed.
