Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB Specialist with a strong background in CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and Discovery to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and managing ServiceNow s CMDB and Discovery modules to ensure accurate IT asset and configuration data across the organization. You will work closely with IT operations, service management, and infrastructure teams to establish best practices, enhance visibility into our infrastructure, and optimize service delivery processes.
Key Responsibilities:
ServiceNow CMDB & Discovery Implementation:
- Lead and manage the implementation of ServiceNow s CMDB and Discovery modules, including defining data model, discovery schedules, and integration with external systems.
- Configure and customize CMDB tables, relationship mappings, and Discovery probes to capture all infrastructure elements (servers, network devices, storage, etc.).
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date configuration data is collected and maintained across various IT environments.
Discovery & Data Mapping:
- Perform the setup and tuning of ServiceNow Discovery probes and sensors to effectively discover and map IT assets and dependencies.
- Work with cross-functional teams to configure Discovery schedules, probe targets, and sensors for network devices, applications, and servers.
- Implement and maintain patterns for automatic discovery and classification of new infrastructure.
