We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to provide on-site technical support for our industrial packaging equipment. This role involves traveling to customer locations (50-60% travel) to diagnose, repair, and optimize machinery. You’ll respond to service calls, assist with new equipment setup, and help integrate automation solutions. This position also offers a 1% commission for recommending additional services or parts that improve customer operations.
Responsibilities
- Install, fine-tune, and program additional logic for industrial packaging machinery, including VFFS & HFFS Baggers, Scale Systems, Check-Weighing Systems, Metal Detection, X-Ray Detection, and Conveyor Systems.
- Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (F.A.T.) on new equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Respond promptly and effectively to customer service calls for troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Conduct system overhauls, repairs, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Maintain detailed service records, log customer interactions, and track expenses for invoicing.
- Develop strong customer relationships by acting as a trusted technical advisor.
- Identify opportunities to enhance equipment performance and recommend additional solutions (eligible for 1% commission on successful sales).
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with automation, machine setup, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Willingness to travel 50-60% of the time to customer sites.
