Job Description: This is a contingent position that is being funded to initiate a cloud-first technical architecture buildout for the newly formed division SC NEXUS and its full technological integration with the client. This initiative aims to establish SC NEXUS as the first department fully operating within a cloud environment, providing a streamlined and efficient IT setup from its start up.
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT: The project involves deploying senior-level Information Technology (IT) professionals (Consultants) to assist with the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of the technological infrastructure required for SC NEXUS. The Consultants must possess the necessary expertise to support the agency's IT needs, including security and technical infrastructure.
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the general supervision of the Commerce's Chief Information Officer (CIO), Deputy CIO and Systems Architect the EPM will assist the Systems Architect in leading the planning, analysis, design, configuration, testing, and deployment of SC NEXUS as a fully operating cloud environment, providing a streamlined and efficient IT setup from its start up.

- Microsoft Entra architecture, including, but not limited to End Point Management, Intune, Auto-Pilot, Microsoft Remote Help, Office 365 & Defender
- Pre-provisioned & automated laptop/device on-boarding and imaging
- Configure Universal Print policies using Intune
- Network security and engineering specific to connecting on premise domains with Azure cloud components
- Firewall & network topology/architecture policy development and implementation
- Co-management of devices covering Microsoft AD on premises and cloud-based Entra ID
Experience with:
- Collaborating with other IT professionals
- Participating in architectural planning and workflow design
- Development and documentation of information security policies Migration of on premises files services to OneDrive & SharePoint
